Pooh’s treat for Rabbit (Fanfiction based on A.A. Milne and Disney's Winnie-the-Pooh)

Image
Winnie-the-Pooh marched through the hundred-acre-wood in a manner that was not like himself. Normally the thought of his favourite food honey would excite him and prompt him to seek ways in which to get it but today something was on his mind. Some years ago, when the thought of honey made him persuade Christopher Robin to use a balloon to drift up to a bees’ hive and fish out some honey, the bees, enraged at seeing their honey in trouble flew at him, forcing him to give up the pursuit. Desperate to eat, Pooh invited himself over to a reluctant Rabbit’s home where he ate all the honey that was there and was stuck in the entrance to Rabbit’s home. After a few days Christopher Robin and his and Pooh’s other friends, Owl, Tigger, Kanga, Roo, Piglet and of course Rabbit helped pull him out of his stuck predicament, only to send him flying into another honey tree where he remained stuck for at least three days before he was pulled out again. While there, Pooh did not worry for there was

The Hurricane: Fact vs Fiction

Rubin 'Hurricane' Carter vs George Benton Rubin Carter, a former middleweight boxer nicknamed ‘Hurricane’ for his fighting style is one of the world’s most famous victims of injustice, having spent 18 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. He was further immortalized by the Bob Dylan song Hurricane which was sung to protest his 1967 conviction of the killings of three people in a bar, the same conviction re-imposed on Carter in 1976. In 1985, Carter was released by a federal judge who ruled that the former middleweight contender had not received a fair trial noting that the case was based on racism and the withholding of evidence. Following his release, Carter became an advocate for the wrongly accused. In 1999, The Hurricane directed by Norman Jewison was released, starring Denzel Washington in the title role and focusing on Carter’s prison plight and the people who fought for his release. While the film was nominated

Champ is a Plesiosaur

Image
For centuries there have been thousands of reports, rumors and sightings of a mysterious unidentified animal lurking in Lake Champlain on the border between New York and Vermont in the United States. This animal is popularly known as 'Champ'. Yet I have come to believe that there is an explanation for the existence of such an animal. The strange animal in Lake Champlain is a Prehistoric Reptile called the Plesiosaur. Lake Champlain was formed over ten thousand years ago when an inlet of the Atlantic Ocean, the Champlain Sea was transformed by receding glaciers into an inland freshwater body. Today it is located mainly within the borders of Vermont and New York in the United States but also partially situated across the Canada-United States Border in the Canadian Province of Quebec. It covers more than 400 square miles and is mainly used for ferrying, fishing and small cruises. But there is something in the lake that is unexplainable, well almost. Map of Lake Champlain

The real Hound of the Baskervilles

Image
The Hound of the Baskervilles is one of the most popular stories about the detective Sherlock Holmes, focusing on Holmes’ investigation into a phantom dog that has been terrorizing a family. What is relatively unknown however is the origins of the story which is as popular as the story itself Arthur Conan Doyle, the creator of Sherlock Holmes had tried to kill the character off in ‘The Final Problem’ but the public was not pleased with this outcome and protested. Doyle at the pleas of many fans of the stories finally revealed Holmes had survived in ‘The Empty House’. Doyle took a holiday one day in Norfolk and visited an old friend, Bertram Fletcher Robinson and the both of them later travelled to Dartmoor. While there, Doyle learnt a series of elements that would result in him creating a new story for his famous Detective, even though he did not originally envision the story as being a Holmes tale. From Robinson, he learnt of a phantom dog as big as a young cow, with fiery red

Songs that should have been done by other singers

Image
There are many a song which should have been done by other singers rather than the ones who already did them because the song in question would suit another singer more than the one who did it. Here are a few examples Songs by the Backstreet Boys  Everybody ‘Everybody’ should have been performed by the Vengaboys instead of the Backstreet Boys and been more ‘Beauty and the Beast’ centred rather than horror-centred if that was the case. If performed by Vengaboys instead of ‘Backstreet’s Back’ being the subtitle to the song, it should have been ‘Venga’s Back’ Larger than Life ‘Larger than Life’ would have looked better if performed by S Club (7). Interestingly Larger than Life is in a way similar to ‘S Club Party’ in the notion that they have the same level of excitement for listeners and both are related to science fiction though the latter is related to time travel and the former is related to space travel I want it that way ‘I want it tha
