The (top five) best Will Smith movies



Beginning his career in the late 80s, Willard Christopher Carol Smith, better known by his stage name ‘Will Smith’ shot to fame in the early 1990s show ‘The fresh prince of Bel Air’ where he played a fictionalized version of himself. However when Smith made his acting debut in 1992 with ‘Where the Day Takes you’ he almost swept Hollywood off its feet.

Like many of his contemporaries such as Samuel L. Jackson, Morgan Freeman, Louis Gossett Jr and Denzel Washington, Smith began to immediately get major leading roles in various films although unlike Freeman, he and the other mentioned actors began to still play ‘black parts’ in films. Smith however was not concerned with what parts he played in film, as long as he kept his passion for acting. Smith also began to sing before his acting career and joined forces with his friend DJ Jazzy, resulting in their duo band DJ Jazzy and the Fresh Prince who produced music between 1986 and 1994. Since then, Smith has become an actor who sings for himself since then and has delivered numerous and notable performances in countless films.

I became his fan in 2003 when I was 13 although that stopped at the end of 2005 when I was 15. In 2019, the year I turned 29, I expressed an interest in being a fan of him again and successfully was able to add his world to my interests. For me, being selective in every interest of mine, the same applies to his movies and I have ranked (in my opinion) the top five of Will’s movies

          The Men In Black are monitorers of everything alien on earth and K and J, are its top agents. Their new mission is to save the world from a complete intergalactic disaster
  3.   3. Men In Black 2 (July 3rd 2002)
          Agent J comes to know about a mysterious alien who is searching for an important extraterrestial jewel known as the Light of Zartha on Earth. However, he would need help from his former partner K who has retired and had his memories wiped
  4.       Bad Boys 2 (July 18th 2003)
          Mike and Marcus, the Miami Police Department detectives, investigate the flow of drugs into Miami. Their search leads them to a dangerous drug lord who is planning to control the city's drug trade
  5.       Hitch (February 11th 2005)
          Despite helping several men woo women with his magical formula, Alex Hitchens, a professional date doctor, finds it difficult to strike a conversation with Sara, a gossip columnist

Jack London’s White Fang, a novel about a wild wolfdog who becomes domesticated and mistreated without affection by each master until his last (who teaches him the meaning of love) examines the violent world of animals and how they view the world of man. The book also teaches us about the meaning of morality and redemption as well as how to love our own dogs. The novel has been adapted into a movie numerous times including ones by Anime and Disney in 1982 and 1991 respectively. The Hurricane: Fact vs Fiction

                                              Rubin 'Hurricane' Carter vs George Benton Rubin Carter, a former middleweight boxer nicknamed ‘Hurricane’ for his fighting style is one of the world’s most famous victims of injustice, having spent 18 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. He was further immortalized by the Bob Dylan song Hurricane which was sung to protest his 1967 conviction of the killings of three people in a bar, the same conviction re-imposed on Carter in 1976. In 1985, Carter was released by a federal judge who ruled that the former middleweight contender had not received a fair trial noting that the case was based on racism and the withholding of evidence. Following his release, Carter became an advocate for the wrongly accused. Memories of my grandfather

It has been exactly a month since I lost my Grandfather, Mohan Wagh who succumbed to his battle against a stroke that consumed him late last year. I cannot believe he is gone and I am going to miss him. Trips to Mumbai, India where he and my grandmother live will not be the same for any one of us without him. Knowing my grandfather though, he would want me to carry on with life and continue to happily live it and that is what has inspired me to want to create some of the best memories I have ever had with him. I am beginning from what I can clearly remember more so than between the ages of 1 and 4 since the ones after those age gaps are clearer although I have chosen to leave some years out because they do not really count the way the mentioned ones do.
