Songs that should have been done by other singers

Image
There are many a song which should have been done by other singers rather than the ones who already did them because the song in question would suit another singer more than the one who did it. Here are a few examples Songs by the Backstreet Boys  Everybody ‘Everybody’ should have been performed by the Vengaboys instead of the Backstreet Boys and been more ‘Beauty and the Beast’ centred rather than horror-centred if that was the case. If performed by Vengaboys instead of ‘Backstreet’s Back’ being the subtitle to the song, it should have been ‘Venga’s Back’ Larger than Life ‘Larger than Life’ would have looked better if performed by S Club (7). Interestingly Larger than Life is in a way similar to ‘S Club Party’ in the notion that they have the same level of excitement for listeners and both are related to science fiction though the latter is related to time travel and the former is related to space travel I want it that way ‘I want it...

How The Phantom Menace could have been as good as the original Star Wars

Image
When Star Wars directed by George Lucas came out in 1977, it became a smash hit and a top grosser, leading fans of all ages to want to know more about the film resulting in toys, games and stories about the characters in a franchise known as 'the Expanded Universe' and two sequels The Empire Strikes Back in 1980 and Return of the Jedi in 1983, both of which Lucas served as producer on 22 years after the release of the original film, came a new Star Wars film directed by Lucas, The Phantom Menace set 32 years before the events of the original Star Wars . While expected to be as successful as its predecessors, the film actually received mixed reviews and was criticised in many ways. While I am a Star Wars fan and my personal favourite apart from the original films is The Phantom Menace , I have come to realize how the film has shown itself and like many critics, I believe that it could have been better. I wish to give the followin...

How true is The Jungle Book to where it is based?

Image
Rudyard Kipling's tales of The Jungle Book, the story of Mowgli a boy adopted by Wolves and how he comes to terms with where he really belongs is a representative of feral children, those young ones who have no knowledge of the Human world and are at risk of their own lives if they attempt to be like other people. It also teaches us about the wonderful world of animals and where we as people really belong However the inspiration for Kipling's tales actually comes from the Seone and Satpura areas of Central India and is based around two National Parks, Kanha and its neighbour Pench. Kipling derived his information of Indian Wildlife from naturalist, artist, writer and statesman, Robert Armitage Sterndale whose 1877 true story Seonee, or Camp Life on the Satpura Range   based on a wild trip that Sterndale undertook at that time inspired many scenes from The Jungle Book. Yet Kipling's world while attempting to showcase Indian fa...

The Cats of Africa

Thundercats is a franchise about a race of heroic Cat-like Aliens. To me however, the real Thundercats are truly the Cats of Africa and this video, using footage from the African Safari Series 'Safari Tracks' along the lines of the Thundercats theme shows just that

3 Ways in which you can develop confidence when going into the job environment

One of the most important aspects when it comes to finding a job is confidence. Often there are many people who lack confidence due to low self-esteem or motivation. While it is up to us to decide how confident or not we chose to be, there are ways we can set for ourselves that help us to build up our confidence. Here are three 1.    Enjoying the moment – Very when it comes to looking for a job we live with the fear that we may get turned away. We have to understand ‘What is the worst that can happen’ and focus on the positives of what our approach/es to looking for a job and applying for them can bring us. If the job is something we enjoy and are passionate about then we have to think more about what we would benefit from doing it or how enthusiastic we are about it rather than whether or not we are going to get it   2.   One door closes and another one opens – A lot of us feel devastated or disappointed when we are turned down from a job, especially i...

In the Wild (Similarities and Differences)

Image
Important plot points may be given away 'In the Wild' was a television series that explored the favourite animal of a particular Hollywood star. Two of the best known Episodes are Tigers with Bob Hoskins and Lions with Anthony Hopkins where Hoskins and Hopkins went into the wild to see their favourite animals, the tiger and the lion respectively. While each episode was different in the animal that was being followed, there are also a few similarities (May contain spoilers) - Both Anthony Hopkins and Bob Hoskins are veteran actors and both have similar sounding surnames. Their favourite big cats are also popular. However unlike Hoski...
